Mr. SIMPSON. Madam Speaker, I rise today to call attention to an Idaho icon and institution, Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company of Idaho, for exceptional service to its customers and the community. Farm Bureau Insurance is celebrating 75 years of providing insurance to the residents and farmers of Idaho.
Farm Bureau started offering insurance to Idahoans in 1947. They are now the second largest insurance writer in the state and the number one farms and ranch insurer in Idaho. They are working to provide peace of mind to Idaho families, farms, and businesses of Idaho by protecting what matters most.
Over the last 75 years, Farm Bureau has been actively contributing to the health and prosperity of Idaho's communities. As an active corporate citizen, Farm Bureau has been a positive force in Idaho by sponsoring Christmas in the Night Skies, Relay for Life, Salute to Idaho Veterans, Elevate Leadership Summit, and the Gold Star Families Memorial Monument among other causes and events over the last 75 years.
Farm Bureau has been awarded an AM Best financial strength rating of excellent or higher since 1959. In 1996, they earned the Better Business Bureau's Torch award for ethics. In 2021, they were awarded the best insurance company in Idaho by Forbes. In both 2020 and 2021, Farm Bureau earned Demotech's Star Award for superior business practices and customer satisfaction.
Madam Speaker, I would like to join their customers, clients, and our community, in honoring Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company of Idaho for 75 years of exceptional service to our great state.
