Cost of college went up for all students at D & L Academy of Hair Design

Tuition and fees rose 5.2 percent for 2018-19 at D & L Academy of Hair Design, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Idaho students paid $14,250 to attend the two-year private for-profit institution this year – $500 more than the $13,750 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 50 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 4 students received grants or scholarships totaling $20,780 and 3 students took out student loans totaling more than $22,500.

Including all undergraduates (22), 17 students used grants or scholarships totaling $82,296, and 16 students took out $129,397 in federal student loans.
